Back 2 Back, we did it again!
The Hawks GU-11 Black took home the Championship in their bracket for the second year in a row at the Poway Shootout Soccer tournament held May 23-24, 2009. Their first time playing on a 11v11 field, the girls came out in full force as if they had been there before. With Coach Jacques Ladouceur guiding the way the girls went on to lead an impressive undefeated victory having only 1 goal scored against them the entire tournament. In the finals game the girls met back up with the Bonita Matrix whom they beat previously 3-0. While new to tournaments the Matrix team came ready to play, but with an impressive save by goalie Mandy Constant, the Hawks soared to the top and took the game with a 2-1. Great job girls; let’s keep the wins going! Watch out Arsenal here come the lady Hawks!
