Dakota Collins, who spent many years training under David
Halliday in the Hawks program, currently playing with the UFC BU16B team, has
verbally committed to UCLA.
Dakota will join one the most prestigious universities in the
nation. As a Bruin he will have the opportunity to play with some of the top
players in the country. UCLA, a perennial powerhouse in Men’s Soccer, posted a
9-9-3 record last year and advanced to the second round of the NCAA playoffs
before losing to Santa Clara.
Dakota selected UCLA because of their long history of success
and moving players to pro ranks. The academic opportunity also allows Dakota to
continue his success in the classroom as well as on the field. Collins received
scholarship offers from USD, UC Davis, UCR, Georgetown, Cal Poly SLO, Oregon
State, UCI, New Mexico U, Fullerton and UConn.
Dakota is currently with the ODP Region IV team in Italy and
will play in the Trafeo De Gradisca Youth Tournament in Venice. The tournament
includes the following groups.

Jackie ‘Rocky’ Garcia, who played for the Hawks for six years
and is currently in her Junior season playing with the University of San Diego,
was recently called upon by the Women’s National Team of Mexico to join their
roster.
Players on our older girls teams were very excited by the recent
news as Jackie has spent time during this last season training with the Hawks
players as she prepared to return to USD. Current accomplished players such as
Jackie ‘Rocky’ Garcia and Michelle Enyeart (US WNT try-outs) highlight the
success of many Hawks Alumni players who have pursued their goals over the years
after receiving quality local training from the Hawks organization.

of achievements. Congratulations to Coach Guinn and all of her talented team members. |
