Hawks GU12 Black - 07/08 Presidio Premier Team wins Gold Bracket Tournament Championship
The Hawks U12 Girls Black (07/08) were the Champions of the SWSC Summer Classic on June 10, 2007. The girls defeated the Poway Vaqueros 1-0 in order to win the Girls U11 Gold Bracket. TVSA Hawks BU12 Black Finalist in Irvine
The TVSA Hawks BU-12 Black team moved undefeated in bracket play to the Irvine Summer Classic Finals, recording three shutouts and scoring 14 goals. The boys fell short in championship play on penalty kicks in overtime. Hawks GU9 Black Summer Classic Champions
The G-U9 Black took home the Championship at the Irvine Summer Classic on June 23-24. The girls were faced with some strong competition playing SASC Strikers in the Final. The were able to pull off an impressive victory winning the game 3-0. Overall the girls went 4-0 and are looking forward to continuing on this path. They are really starting to get in their groove and getting excited for the season to start. Great Job Girls. TVSA Hawks Breakaway event honors players of graduating class of 2007![]() The evening of Monday, May 21, brought together a room full of players, parents, and coaches to honor the graduating class of 2007. The Temecula Community Recreation Center was energized with the prospects of recognizing the academic and athletic achievements of our Hawks graduating class. Due to the many supportive volunteers and our friends at My Mama’s Cookies, cheesecake and other dessert items along with delicious coffee donated by Its a Grind were served in star quality fashion. Coach Jennifer Guinn, who was the founder and coordinator of the “Breakaway Event”, started the evening highlighting the mentor program for our younger players by our experienced teenage players. She then proceeded to introduce the Hawks Technical Director and University Coach, “Nat” Gonzalez. Coach Gonzalez outlined in informative detail, the aspects of college soccer recruiting, training for success in college soccer, and the importance of quality grades and test scores in addition to athletic skills. Players and parents alike were able to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the college process through this informative presentation. Graduating players from our Hawks program were invited to the stage and introduced to the crowd with great applause. Next year’s class of 2008 were also in attendance and brought to the stage to highlight what everyone expects will be an exciting year in their life. A special thank you to Jennifer Guinn for all her efforts in making this a special night for so many young people, Nat Gonzalez for his heart-felt presentation, My Mamas Cookies for their kind donation, and all the volunteers from the TVSA Hawks family. TVSA TOPS Soccer program fun for allThe TOPS soccer program from TVSA and players from the Hawks GU15 Black team joined together for some fun soccer. The players were joined by the girls from the Hawks U16 and U17 teams who supported and cheered on the TOPS players. They all continued their day by enjoying lunch and making new friends. |

German Bundesliga takes interest in TVSA trained playerDakota Collins, who trained and played with the Hawks for six years, has been invited to a two week training and evaluation session with FC Schalke 04 and FC Kaiserslautern of the German Bundesliga. He leaves May 13th for Germany where he will get a trial opportunity with both clubs. Dakota, who was trained by Coaching Director David Halliday for five years, praised his former coach and trainer, as well as his former Hawk teammates, as instrumental to his successes. Dakota has also been invited to participate in the Adidas Elite Soccer Program this summer. Best wishes to Dakota Collins from the entire Hawks family! |
