 
Coach Carlos Basso led his TVSA Hawks GU15 Red team to
VICTORY at the Poway Country Shootout 2006 Thanksgiving tournament. The
girls played in a 5 team bracket playing 4 other teams for the win. The
team with the most points would win. Their first game early Friday,
November 24th was against SHARKS GU15. The Hawks won 3-1. It was
followed by a second game against the BREAKERS. Again the Hawks won 3-1.
On Saturday, November 25th the Hawks played the RANGERS with a 2-0 win.
Excitement was building for our last game. We would be playing the
VAQUEROS team. We needed a tie or a win to take the championship. We
tied 0-0 for the CHAMPIONSHIP! Our girls played hard and came away
winners!!!
